NAD+ Injections

NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) is a coenzyme naturally present in virtually every cell in the human body. It is involved in hundreds of biochemical reactions and is especially important for converting nutrients into usable cellular energy.

NAD+ also serves as a critical cofactor for enzymes involved in DNA maintenance, cellular metabolism, mitochondrial function, and cellular stress responses.

Because NAD+ availability may decline with age, there has been growing interest in methods intended to maintain or increase NAD+ levels. While oral NAD+ precursors such as NR and NMN have received considerable research attention, injectable NAD+ provides NAD+ directly through parenteral administration. Human research specifically evaluating injectable NAD+ remains limited, so its long-term effectiveness for longevity, energy, or performance has not yet been established.

NAD+ injections may cause side effects, and individual tolerance can vary depending on the dose, administration method, concentration, and individual health factors.

Potential reactions may include injection-site discomfort, redness or irritation, nausea, headache, fatigue, abdominal discomfort, flushing, dizziness, or temporary changes in how you feel following administration.

Published research on IV NAD+ has also reported gastrointestinal symptoms, increased heart rate, and chest pressure during administration, although these symptoms resolved after the infusion was completed in the study.

Sterility and product quality are especially important with injectable NAD+. The FDA has reported adverse events—including severe chills, shaking, vomiting, and fatigue—associated with certain compounded NAD+ injectable products where contamination or excessive endotoxin levels were a concern.

Seek medical attention for severe or persistent symptoms, including difficulty breathing, significant swelling, severe dizziness, chest pain, fainting, or signs of an allergic reaction.
